Adeskbar Menu

Postby jbv » Sun Aug 12, 2012 9:31 pm

Need to review the source for Adeskbar and work out exactly what categories it supports and how it determines which program goes where in the menu. Then need to document it and go though the .desktop entries to make sure things are where we want them to be.

Adeskbar plugins

Postby jbv » Sun Aug 12, 2012 9:36 pm

Get into Adeskbar source-code and see what plugins we can pull in (use) from v5

Note: FoxyRoxy uses Adeskbar v4.3 as this was the latest version that I could get to work in Debian. The author of Adeskbar is a Ubuntu user and Adeskbar v5 became very Ubuntu centric to the point where I couldn't get v5 to start in Debian. The author has also dropped Adeskbar and while it is not dead, support or future development seems unlikely. With this in mind, a conscious decision was made to take what was working and look to build upon that. There are quite a few plugins for v5 that we should review and see what needs to be done to bring in those that might be of interest.
